Ignite The Life Sponsorship Opportunities
Our Youth Need Your Help!
The aim of the Ignite The Life Rally is to give youth the tools, guidance and support to push through difficult and challenging times where hope is all but lost. The number of youth suicides and attempts are in this province are staggering. We need to show our youth that we are dedicated and committed to providing them any assistance we can. In order to enable youth from the North of Saskatchewan to attend this 2-day conference for free we need generous sponsors. We aim to cover rally facilitation, transportation, hotel and food costs for 500 attendees. We know there are many people in Saskatchewan who want to help – here is your opportunity.
10% of Saskatchewan’s population are young people under the age of 24 who identify as indigenous. They are this province’s future workforce and they are most at risk.
PLEASE APPRECIATE AND SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS
Without them this conference simply cannot happen!
Agency Chiefs Child & Family Services was born and mandated through Provincial Legislation to provide family support services to the people of Big River, Pelican Lake and Witchekan Lake First Nations . Emphasis has always been placed on keeping families together and assisting the parents to take care of their children.
Their vision is to gain what has been lost over the years: language, values, and traditions. They want to keep our children in their native communities, offer hope to give them a brighter future, a sense of belonging and their native identity. Over all guidance is provided by their Mission and Vision Statements whose bottom line philosophy rests in Traditional Family Systems and the Circle of Life.
“The mission of the Agency Chiefs Tribal Council, a legal incorporated body of three Indian Bands (Big River, Pelican Lake and Witchekan Lake) is to develop the self determind for the Bands through a comprehensive approach which will contribute to the human, economic and social well-being of their members”
“Amiskusees was established with the goal of bettering First Nations communities through assisting our women and youth. We wish to empower our people by providing opportunities to participate in sports, education, the arts, and cultural programming.”
“What drives us is our sense of purpose – whether it’s supporting cultural, recreational and sporting events (First Nation or non-First Nation) or supplying scholarships to First Nations students, who may otherwise not have been able to fund their education and achieve their goals.” Zane Hansen, President and CEO of SIGA
