Part 1: Listening to the voices of our youth- facilitated discussion
February 2 from 1:35 to 3:00 p.m:
Using an open space facilitation method, participants will be guided through several discussions themes focused on igniting the voices of youth.
Part 2: Listening to the voices of our youth ignite discussion reflection
February 3 from 11:10 to 12:00
Participants will receive a summary from the voices of our youth which will in turn ignite a facilitated discussion.
Prairie Wild Consulting Co. (PWC) is a social-based research and comprehensive community planning firm that has roots firmly planted on the vast prairies and lands of Saskatchewan. Based out of Saskatoon, they have been preparing communities for the future for 20+ years. PWC was formed in response to local community needs in the areas of: citizen participation strategies and processes; community-based research; community-based comprehensive regional and community planning and policy development; local and regional development; rural and northern socio-economic diversification; urban renewal; cultural and heritage planning; and, land and infrastructure resiliency assessment.
Their clients include: community-based organizations; First Nations and Métis orders of government; municipalities; regional government organizations; and, government agencies. They have two key aspects of the work they do as an interdisciplinary team. First, they conduct applied research and develop participatory engagement tools to help communities and community-based organizations in sharing their vision, objectives, policies, and actions. Second, they develop technical tools and processes to help their clients strive to achieve their vision.
